Gianfranco Sampò, co-founder, is a strategy and organization consultant with extensive experience in the restaurant industry. He was one of the first Italian entrepreneurs to develop internet-related businesses, founding Italy’s first national professional community in 2000. A passionate gelato lover, he started Terra in 2016, merging the rich tradition of Italian gelato with his entrepreneurial skills.

Massimo Grosso has over 15 years of industry experience and refined his gelato-making skills under the guidance of his mentor before advancing his career near the Vatican, where he created ice cream cakes and gelatos for Casa Marta. He met Gianfranco Sampò in 2018, and together they launched Terra. This project emerged from a shared vision, characterized by a dedication to seasonal ingredients, innovative experimentation, and an unending passion for creating new and surprising gelato flavors.

With years of experience in tourism and food service, Monika discovered her passion for gelato and desserts when she joined Terra in 2018.

Gianfranco Sampò, co-founder, is a strategy and organization consultant with extensive experience in the restaurant industry. A passionate gelato lover, he started Terra in 2016, merging the rich tradition of Italian gelato with his entrepreneurial skills.
Francesco Sampò brings years of restaurant experience, starting as an apprentice chef before training at Italy’s most prestigious gelato and pastry schools. His creative approach and technical expertise have significantly contributed to Terra from the start, pairing ingredients and flavors in novel ways within the world of artisanal gelato.
After studying at the Castelfranco Veneto Hospitality School and earning a degree in Business Administration, Paola entered the restaurant industry. Her passion for sports led her to the hospitality world, collaborating for many years in Superbike MotoGP and later in Formula 1 as Catering Manager with Pirelli. Her love for quality food inspired her to create her own restaurant. Since 2018, she has joined the Terra team, bringing her extensive customer service experience and her creativity and elegance to Terra.
Gianpaolo Frigo has a technical/managerial background and leads his family company, established in 1965, in the electromechanical sector. He has worked with various multinational manufacturing and financial organizations over the course of his career but gelato runs in his veins, thanks to a long family tradition connected to Val di Zoldo, where gelato-making has a long storied history. His family played a significant role in bringing gelato culture across Europe and the world, starting in the late 19th century where his grandparents established gelato businesses in Budapest in the 1930s and 1940s, while his uncles continue the family tradition in Germany. His meeting and friendship with Gianfranco Sampò naturally led to the founding of Terra.
